FTS Manual
Installation, Troubleshooting and System Reference Page
This page is created for specific troubleshooting purposes. It can also be used to create a CD that lets you run the FTS system from a PC if you are having installation problems with. However, you must always complete complete Step 1 or at least check that the OCX files are present on the system you are trying to use. Then burn a CD from steps 2 and 3 and run ftsInstall.exe before launching any of the FTS software.
If they are missing then install the FTS libraries, otherwise continue to Step 2. Right-click on each of the next three links, select "Save Target As," and then save each file in your Windows\System32 folder or Winnt\System32 folder whatever is relevant. The MSWINSCK file must be either directly entered into the system32 folder or registered on your windows system.
Important Note: The .exe files below all have the extension renamed to .eee --- this is for download purposes only. This is because you cannot download an extension .exe this way. So instead first download the file with .eee and then rename the extension to .exe on your local computer.
Note for Creating a System CD: If you want to create a self contained CD from steps 2 and 3 you can. This allows you to run the FTS system by first inserting a CD with the files from step 2 and 3 on it. Running FTS requires two steps:
First, run ftsInstall.exe and
Second, launch any FTS module, trader, market or other executable.
Example: go to winnt/system32 and run:
regsvr32 MSWINSCK.OCX
If you cannot find regsvr32.exe then download from below.
Important Note: The .exe file below has the extension renamed to .eee --- this is for download purposes only. This is because you cannot download an extension .exe this way. So instead first download the file with .eee and then rename the extension to .exe on your local computer.
