This page lets you run
FTS applications. However, your system
must be configured correctly.
System requirements
o Windows Users:
o Most of our applications
are Windows based. You will need:
§ Windows XP or Vista,
The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.51 , Internet Explorer 7, Microsoft Office 2007
§ The FTS Libraries;
these can be installed in two ways. The
best way is via the FTS
System Manager. The second way
is manually
o Mac users:
o
We now offer browser based “Silverlight” versions of
our two main trading systems
o
They require Microsoft
Silverlight 3 and run on these
systems
The FTS Real Time Client: you manage a portfolio against real time prices
from real world markets (e.g. the DOW Case).
You need a trading name and a password, assigned
by your instructor/moderator.
· Click to run RT Client (This version requires Excel 2007 and Internet Explorer 7)
· Click to run the Silverlight version of the RT Client (beta); you will be asked to install the Silverlight plug in if you don’t have it

This version has different networking requirements. If you are unable to connect, or get an
“Access denied” message, your firewall may be blocking access. Contact us for information.
The FTS Trader lets you trade an FTS Trading case (e.g. B01,
RE1) where participants trade with each other.
You must know the IP address of the instructors
computer. For your trading name, enter
your university email address, unless instructed differently.

8 Released Summer 2009)

to run the Silverlight version of the FTS Trader (beta); you will be asked
